Jan Pranger (1961) studied Chemical Technology at the Delft University of Technology and received his MSc in 1987. In 1985 he joined a major Dutch engineering and consulting company. He acquired there extensive consulting and design skills in many branches of industry during 12 years. In the course of time, he shifted his consulting activities to industrial and process safety.
In 1998, he started his private consulting business. In 2004-2005 he followed the postdoc study Management of Safety, Health and Environment (MoSHE) at Delft University of Technology. He is accredited Tripod Beta Assessor, Practitioner and Trainer.
